Taking authority over your life by developing and owning your narrative

We all have enough unique experiences in our memories to fill a libraries and museums with engaging stories and vivid images,
and there is something to be learned from every individual's life story.
The most compelling and memorable comic narratives are sometimes driven by our saddest experiences.
Using the pieces of a troubled past to assemble a coherent story can be the key to overcoming trauma, dysfunction, and abuse.
In this writing lab, through a series of improvisational free-writing exercises, you will unlock your unique narrative and begin to see the arc of your life

Particular focus will be given to getting past insecurity, inhibition, and writers block, so you can own and be empowered by the story of your life.

Taught by a veteran writer and performer from that famous LA improv theater on Melrose.
Mondays and Fridays, 7-9:30PM,

TERRACOTTA FIGURE SCULPTURE
Beginners quickly discover how to use malleable clay to sculpt the human form. Working from the nude model, students gain knowledge of sculptural concepts of proportion, anatomy and portraiture as they learn to depict the figure in three dimensions. Completed work is fired at the end of the semester.

This class will explore the fundamentals of clay sculpture. Projects may explore ‘abstract’ sculpture as well figure or portrait sculpture.
